Disguise faces. The shape of a face can really stand out.
Use mud or facepaints to blur your shape or wear a cap or hat.
Try to adopt a shape that blends in with surrounding features.
It is important to move quietly and slowly without sudden jerks.
If you are looking for wildlife you need to make sure if you
approach from downwind as most animals rely heavily on their
sense of smell.
To make your own camouflage use an old rug, sacking, or garden
Out Door Games to Play in the Countryside
The following games are great for playing in open woodland in the countryside.
Everyone finds a spot to sit comfortably and quietly to watch, wait and listen. Bring some breadcrumbs or bird seed and scatter them twenty yards away from your lair. Then just wait and watch and listen.
Look for Something Unusual
Divide up over a small area and look for something unusual or of interest. It maybe a stone, a spiders web, a footprint, a nest, an ant hill. Allow five or ten minutes depending on the childrens age and then each one in turn shows the rest of the group what they have found.
Capturing the Enemy
Divide into two teams. each team has a base. The idea is for each team to try and creep up on the others team and take their base.
For smaller groups and/or younger children have just one base guarded by an adult. The rest of the party have to try and creep unseen and storm the base.
Again two teams or a couple of people selected as seekers. The hiders go and hide making use of their camouflage while the seekers have to spot them. Once spotted they are either out or they have to make it back to base without being caught.
Many times when I am working with parents and children, I am asked how effective is NLP with children. My answer, NLP is very effective when working with children, if the adult is prepared to calibrate, test, re-calibrate, test, laugh, laugh, and learn.
Each child is unique, think about fingerprints, no two sets are alike, and yet many people think that what works with one child will surely work with all children.
NLP is not a thing, it is based on observation, curiosity, guessing and then testing, sometimes through trial and error. Children are masters at flexibility. If they want something, they will continuously and creatively modify their behavior until they either get what they want, or discover something else to focus their attention on. The younger the child the easier they can be distracted.
So the bottom line is, the adult must have more flexibility of behavior to keep up with the child. And please remember, behavior can change quickly and easily.
Child also have very good memories. Most ADD children have amazingly precise memories. Unfortunately, many adults have little appreciation for the precise memory of what was said, and react to the childs frustration, instead of simply acknowledging and responding.
An explain of a conversation postulate would be I feel a draft, is the front door open? A likely adult response to this issomeone gets up and checks the door. A likely child response is I dont know, it wasnt open when I walked past it. Or I closed it when I came in. Followed by a look at someone else.
Now here is what I find amusing. Although most people are completely unaware of conversational postulates, they are all around us, and we have been taking for granted the natural response, to a point where many of us, have come to count on the response. Somebody else gets up and checks the door, oven, thermostat, time etc. But what happens when what we expect doesnt happen and we have to take action ourselves?
The adult gets confused, and then annoyed, because what they expected to happen didnt. Time for a change. Test the questions, and be prepared to get the answer for yourself. If you arent getting the response you expected, laugh and move on. There is still so much children can teach us, enjoy the learning!
Child support modification is used to legally reduce the amount of child support paid each month. Many non-custodial Dads are under the impression that once child support has been ordered they are stuck with that specific Court ordered amount. Not true!
There are many reasons that reducing child support may be necessary, especially in today’s recession economy. Many Dads are losing their jobs, having their hours reduced, or having their pay reduced. Any of these instances may be cause for modification of child support.
There are special forms, along with instructions, for this procedure provided in DadsCanWin! The Department of Child Support Enforcement has the ability to reduce support payments without a court procedure but may not be willing to do so. Don’t despair, the law is on your side!
You may feel guilty about needing to reduce your child support payments. You may think it will lower your child’s standard of living and they will dislike you because of it. Well, you need to do a reality check. If you lose your job, or for any other reason can’t make your child support payments, you face jail time! Child Support Enforcement can suspend your driver’s license, recreational licenses, and other licenses you may need to work.
Sitting In Jail Because You Are Behind on Child Support
Payments Does Not Help Your Children
Getting a new job will be difficult if you have no driver’s license and without a new job you will not be able to pay your child support. You can see that this is a downward spiral to nowhere. Just think how your child will feel if you are not there to visit them because you are in jail! Not the picture you want them to have of their Dad.
So, the alternative of seeking child support modification seems like the intelligent thing to do. If you truly feel terrible, once you get your job back, or otherwise correct your income, problem you can then start paying more child support again. However, you have protected yourself when your income was reduced.
Each state has guidelines for the amount of child support based on, typically, the non-custodial parents income, and the custodial parent’s income. Many Dads are not aware that if their ex’s income changes substantially for the better, they may be able to reduce the amount of child support that is due. Be sure to check out your states guidelines when preparing your Child Support Modification forms.
This procedure can be done without an attorney thereby saving you typically thousands of dollars. In addition, most attorneys are reluctant to represent non-custodial Fathers in child support issues. But, you can do this yourself and DadsCanWin can show you the way.
Remember, the most important thing, if your income has changed, is to take action before you get behind. Losing your driver’s license and facing jail is no picnic. The law is on your side if you take action!

Believers say that In 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three young children in Fatima, Portugal. During those appearances, Our Lady of Fatima, as Mary came to be known in connection with the visions delivered a message to the children. This Fatima message included three secrets, including a vision of Hell. The secrets in the Fatima message and what would become the Fatima prayer teach children who believe if Fatima the five important lessons that are as relevant today as they were nearly one hundred years ago.
Lesson 1: God is with us every day—Perhaps the most important part of the Fatima message is that God doesn’t just exist; He is also a part of our lives. The Virgin Mary is an extension of God, and her appearance is in itself a message that God actively participates in the world.
Lesson 2: People can be saved—One of the secrets Mary revealed was sinners can be saved. This is an important lesson for children to learn as they begin to enter formative stages in their lives.
Lesson 3: Prayer is important—The Our Lady of Fatima prayer is a perfect prayer for children to learn. Its simplicity is its perfection: “O God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love you. I ask pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love you.”
Lesson 3: Peace is possible—In addition to teaching the children the Fatima prayer, the Virgin Mary also told the children that the world is capable of peace, but only if it chooses that path. Children need to know that the world is what they make of it, and this was conveyed at Fatima.
Lesson 5: A miracle changes more than just one life—Even though Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three children, the miracle of the visions has in many ways changed the lives of millions more. Today, a century later, the world is still captivated by the visions. It is a miracle that continues to inspire, and children should know that miracles are possible.
The Fatima children are no longer alive, but their legacy and that of the Virgin Mary visions continues for many. Some people believe that each time a child repeats the Our Lady of Fatima prayer, he or she also knows that God exists, people can be saved, prayer is essential, there can be peace, and miracles are real.
Opening up a colorful picture book and reading with your toddler might just seem like a fun, easy way to spend time together and entertain your little one. However, the bright, simple picture books you read to your child today are paving the way for the novels and textbooks of the future. Reading with young children is not just beneficial in the moment, but also offers a long-term advantage in the classroom and beyond. Research carried out by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in 2011 showed that when parents read to their toddlers, the children still carried the benefits at 15 years old. These teenagers were ahead of their peers in reading skills, showing that parents who read to their toddlers were also likely to see their children bring home excellent report cards in high school. Children learn most effectively and quickly early in life. So if you get them reading early, the results will be exponential. Once you get a child reading, the hardest part will be to get them to do anything else!
Reading is an essential cornerstone of learning. Whether from the printed word in books or from information accessed online, reading is a skill that comes into constant play throughout the average person’s day. When a child enters the classroom, reading becomes even more important. Not only do children learn important information by reading, enabling them to fulfill homework requirements more easily and accurately, they also have the means to learn about different cultures and expose themselves to different mindsets and opinions. By opening their minds to new ideas, children can become more discerning and flexible thinkers. In addition, reading and listening to narratives gives children better problem-solving skills and helps them think critically.
When you read with your child, you create positive associations with reading, meaning that your child is more likely to see reading as something fun and beneficial instead of an unwanted chore. It also improves their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and reading speed. The combination of these benefits will serve them well as they become students and professionals later in life.
A child who loves to read will find it brings them endless enjoyment, as there are endless books to read. Reading is also a low cost hobby as public libraries, book swaps, and used book stores provide free or cheap access to books. There is also endless web content that is free as well. There are many skills an concepts that can be learned for free If someone only puts in the time to read up on the subject.
All these skills work together to contribute to a thoughtful, informed student. When it comes to a love of learning, reading early and often is one of the best ways to ensure a bright academic future. So read to your child early, and encourage them to read on their own and discover adventures and endless knowledge and information.
If you are getting married, you obviously will love the ceremony. However, one part you’ll soon discover will be a treasured one is when the wedding guests give you a grand sendoff as you ride to your honeymoon destination for the first time as husband and wife. Such a grand occasion deserves a special send-off. There are many different ways to make the close of your reception special.
One of the more popular and practical things that have been done are wedding bubbles. Creating a beautiful effect for your wedding pictures, having guests blow tiny bubbles your way allows you to leave the reception is a “cloud” of whimsy. This is just one sendoff that you can have. There are others as well.
If you’re more traditional, you may opt to have guests throw rice at the end of the reception. However, many brides are choosing rice alternatives, like biodegradable confetti, streamers or birdseed as a more eco-friendly option that also protects our wildlife.
In addition to bubbles and confetti or birdseed, another option is to use balloons. Floating in the air on the wings of your love, multicolored balloons in your wedding colors will make a brilliant getaway. You can also ask the party guests to tie a wish to the balloon for the couple. When the couple leaves the reception to start their honeymoon, all of the balloons would then be released into the air. It’s a wonderful representation of them sending their blessings for you to the heavens.
Then, there are some who take a different approach. Creating the excitement of a 4th of July parade, some couples have guests line the path with sparklers, which is a lovely addition to evening weddings. But, you don’t have to stop with the sparklers. Create a full fireworks display to start your new life with a bang!
Since we’re talking about creating a bang, noise makers are also a good idea. Clappers, party horns, bugles and the like might sound annoying to those around, but think about it, the whole neighborhood will know that they are wishing you well. That is what you really want after all. You want people to have a big celebration when they get to send you off.
These are all ideas that people have used at their weddings to make their departure more delightful. When considering the right one for you, consider the number of guests involved, the cost of the items and the clean up that may be required. But, no matter which one you choose, your sendoff will surely be spectacular.
Many men’s and women’s high school volleyball players dream of someday playing for a university. And for many a college volleyball scholarship is an integral part of this dream. A volleyball scholarship is, after all, an ideal way to get your education paid for while playing a sport you love.
Unfortunately, there is not an abundance of scholarships out there waiting go be grabbed: college volleyball, like all collegiate sports, is a competitive industry with far more candidates than scholarships or positions. This leaves many players wondering about their odds: exactly how many volleyball scholarships are available each year?
The amount of volleyball scholarships available varies from division to division, as well as gender to gender. The completeness of the scholarship can also vary: there are both full and partial scholarships available. Here’s a basic breakdown:
NCAA Division 1, Division II, and Division III for Women’s College Volleyball
College volleyball scholarships are available for women in the first two divisions. Division I offers twelve full ride scholarships per team. You can figure out the exact number by multiplying twelve by the number of Division 1 volleyball teams. Per the NCAA regulations, these scholarships must be delivered in full to each athlete. In other words, one full scholarships can not be divided into partials and awarded to several different players.
A volleyball scholarship from Division II differs slightly. In Division II, eight full ride scholarships are available per team. Unlike Division I, the NCAA rules allow Division II scholarships to be broken up into partials and divided among many players. The way each volleyball scholarship is divvied up is the coaches decision. Depending on this division (i.e., whether a scholarship is divided into halves or thirds) dictates the amount available on any given year.
Technically, there are no Division III athletic scholarships available for volleyball players. Still, students hoping to play for a Division III school are eligible for both financial aid and academic scholarships.
NCAA Division 1, Division II, and Division III for Men’s College Volleyball
Each Division I and Division II school gets four and a half volleyball scholarships per team. Each of these scholarships can be divvied up and awarded to athletes per the coach’s desire. The coaches’ decisions control the amount of scholarships available on any given year.
Just as with women-s volleyball, there are no Division III athletic scholarships available for volleyball. Still, students hoping to play for a Division III school are eligible for both financial AID and academic scholarships.
In a sport as competitive as volleyball it’s advisable for student athletes to focus on their academics as well as their athleticism so that they have the best chance of being eligible for both athletic and academic scholarships.
